Initial vaccine availability, as expected, will not keep pace with the demand.  Please be patient. Erath County provider(s) have received our initial (week 2) allotment of doses of the COVID VACCINE.  All doses were administered to healthcare and frontline workers. An allocation of 400 doses is scheduled for week 4. Find out if your pharmacy or doctor is a vaccine provider.  11 (mostly pharmacies, health clinics) have applied to be vaccine providers.

Below is the current allocation schedule for Erath and surrounding counties:

  • WEEK 1 (Dec. 12) – State-wide, exclusive allocations to Hospitals and medical facilities only.

  • WEEK 2 – Hamilton Co. 200; Comanche 100, Eastland 100 and Erath 100.

  • WEEK 3 - Hamilton Co. 400; Comanche 300, Eastland 300 and Erath 0.

  • WEEK 4 - Hamilton Co. 0; Comanche 0, Eastland 0 and Erath 400.

This allocation schedule can be found on the DSHS website.   https://www.dshs.texas.gov/coronavirus/immunize/vaccine.aspx

As usual, please continue to take proper precautions to prevent infection.

As we get new information, I will be sure to pass it along.  Thank you for your patience.
